Updated every five years, the Strategic Business Plan establishes the operational policies, goals and objectives of the Board to support the mission of the NJTPA. The current Business Plan was adopted by the Board in November 2002 (links at right). The document includes a number of Appendices.
It serves as a guide for development of the year-to-year Unified Planning Work Program which sets work tasks and budgets for the NJTPA and its member agencies.
This Strategic Business Plan contains key strategies and an agenda of actions designed to strengthen the agency and make it a more effective leader for transportation planning and decision-making.
The plan was created through a highly interactive process with the goal of helping the NJTPA serve its critical constituencies: counties and municipalities, businesses and employees, transportation providers, and, most importantly, the residents and traveling public of the northern New Jersey region.
