Have a say in the future of transportation in North Jersey. Join the NJTPA and Hudson County at a public event to gather input for Plan 2045.
The NJTPA is seeking public input for our next long-term transportation plan, Plan 2045: Connecting North Jersey. Look for our table at the Earth Day 2017 Fair starting at 11 a.m. Stop by and spin our colorful wheel to select a topic, then answer questions to provide valuable insight for our plan.
Each year about $1 billion in federal funds is invested into the transportation system in northern and central New Jersey. Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), like the NJTPA, must update their regional transportation plans every four years in order to obtain and spend federal transportation funding. The regional transportation plan serves as a blueprint for these investments over the next 25 years. The last update, Plan 2040, was adopted in September 2013.
Outreach events are planned across northern and central New Jersey this spring. Visit njtpa.org/Plan2045 for additional information.
