A public meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 3 to inform local residents, officials, businesses and the general public about proposed safety improvements along Ferry Street from Alyea Street to Lexington Street.

The City of Newark, in cooperation with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, and the Federal Highway Administration, is holding a public meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 3 to inform local residents, officials, businesses and the general public about proposed safety improvements along Ferry Street from Alyea Street to Lexington Street. Below is a link to the plans for the proposed changes to Ferry Street.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the project’s purpose and need, progress to date, and to solicit public input and comments relating to the proposed improvements. 

This meeting is being conducted in conformance with Federal and State regulations, and is open to all members of the public. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this open house, review the displays, ask questions and provide comments. City and support staff will be available to answer any questions throughout the scheduled time period. Please attend at a time that is convenient for you.
