Celebrate National Trails Day with a guided walk and community visioning session focused on the future Bloomfield segment of New Jersey's newest state park, a nine-mile greenway connecting eight municipalities in Essex and Hudson counties. Advance registration is recommended but not required.

The New Jersey Bike & Walk Coalition, in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, will host a community visioning and engagement session from 9 a.m. to noon at Willet Street. Participants may stop by at any time during the event to learn about the project or share their ideas.
The approximately one-mile walk will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. and take participants from Willet Street to Walnut Street and back while discussing how this former rail corridor is being transformed into a multimodal recreation and transit corridor featuring native plantings and community gathering spaces.
