The NJTPA will have a booth at the 50th Annual NJ TransAction Conference April 14-16 and staff will be participating in several sessions during the first two days.

Wednesday's sessions include:

Creating Community Connections through Greenways: Lessons Learned (1:30 p.m.)

This panel discussion will focus on firsthand lessons learned from a range of multi-disciplined experts on all phases of the planning, design, and construction process for creating greenway connections to New Jersey's downtowns, transit stations, recreation areas, and places where people of all ages live & work. Panel experts include state/regional agency representatives, professional planning, engineering, and design professionals, and local advocates. Visuals and graphics will feature NJ case studies.

This session spotlights the NJTPA’s successful municipal programs including: the Complete Street Technical Assistance, Vibrant Places, and Planning for Emerging Centers Programs. Learn how these competitive programs, and the projects completed through them, result in implementation and great placemaking.

The New Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge through NJTPA's Local Capital Project Delivery Program (5 p.m.)

The new Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge was Federally funded for concept development, design and construction through NJTPA’s Local Capital Project Delivery Program. Rumson was the first project under this program. This workshop will discuss the challenges, successes and the lessons learned from delivering this project from concept through construction.
