Additional Details

Somerset County, in cooperation with the Township of Bernards, the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA), the New Jersey Department of Transportation, and the Federal Highway Administration, is holding a public meeting to gather feedback on proposed improvements to the Allen Road (CR 652) and Somerville Road intersection in Bernards Township.

The County plans to install a modern roundabout at the intersection. The improvements are being funded through the NJTPA's Local Safety Program. The Federal Highway Administration has identified roundabouts as a Proven Safety Countermeasure because they substantially reduce the types of crashes that result in injury or loss of life.

The meeting will include a presentation from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. followed by a question an answer session. Comments can also be submitted via email to Alicia Meyers at MeyersA@co.somerset.nj.us.
