Overview
Monmouth County Division of Planning is holding its second public meeting for Moving Mindfully: Monmouth/Mercer, A Comprehensive Freight Related Transportation Study for Western Monmouth and Southern Mercer Counties. The meeting is January 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. (presentation at 7:30 p.m.) at Newell Elementary School in Allentown.Additional Details
This study, funded by the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, will identify short- and long- term strategies in Allentown, Robbinsville, and Upper Freehold intended to manage freight-related travel issues and avoid conflicts based on travel patterns, existing and projected conditions, and planned developments.The project team will present findings of the data collection and analysis including crash hot-spots, traffic volume, and an inventory of existing infrastructure. Attendees will have opportunities to ask questions and provide input. One additional public meeting is planned for April 2019.
The final report will provide recommendations that are intended to ease congestion and promote a safe traveling environment for all road users.
