Somerset County, in cooperation with the Township of Franklin, the NJTPA, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, and the Federal Highway Administration, will host a public information meeting on the status of safety improvements to Hamilton Street (CR 514) from Vanderbilt Avenue to Middlesex County Line project in Franklin Township.A presentation will be made at 6:30 p.m.
The purpose of the project is to implement corridor-wide improvements to improve safety for all roadway users along Hamilton Street from Vanderbilt Avenue to the Middlesex County line in Franklin Township. The project will include the reconstruction of traffic signal equipment, curb, sidewalk, pavement, and curb extensions in the vicinity of the project limits. The project is currently in the design phase and will be funded for construction with FHWA's Highway Safety Improvement Program Funds.
