USDOT Info Session on Reconnecting Communities Pilot Program

May 19

Additional Details

USDOT is hosting a webinar for potential applicants to get ready for the forthcoming Reconnecting Communities Pilot (RCP) discretionary grant program.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) established this new grant program, funded with $1 billion over the next 5 years. The program’s funds can support planning, capital construction, and technical assistance to equitably and safely restore community connectivity through the removal, retrofit, mitigation, or replacement of eligible transportation infrastructure facilities that create barriers to mobility, access, or economic development. The Department anticipates posting one or more Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs) for the RCP program in summer of 2022.

This introductory webinar is free and open to the public. It is intended for a broad range of attendees, including representatives of organizations eligible to receive funds under the RCP program: States, units of local governments, Federally recognized Tribal governments, metropolitan planning organizations, nonprofit organizations, and owners of transportation facilities eligible for capital construction grants.
