The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority and New Jersey Brownfields Assistance Center at NJIT will present a free workshop, "Connecting the Dots: Using a Greenway to Catalyze Brownfields Reuse." Vacant or underused, potentially contaminated properties are in most New Jersey towns, and like abandoned rail lines, are associated with an industrial legacy. This workshop will show how a project like the Essex-Hudson Greenway can catalyze brownfields reuse and the steps your community can take to transform these properties into community assets, and funding available to make it happen.
