Somerset County in coordination with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), is conducting a Local Concept Development study to determine appropriate improvements to the Valley Road Bridge over the Passaic River connecting Bernards Township in Somerset County and Long Hill Township in Morris County.The goals of this study are to address the bridge's structural deficiencies and increase safety for the travelling public.
In addition to the presentation during the Long Hill Township Committee meeting, the project team will have an informational table in the lobby from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and will be available to answer questions and gather public input on the proposed alternative.
