Overview
The New Jersey Safe Routes Resource Center at Rutgers University will present a free webinar about applying for the FY2027 Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program. The federally funded program is administered by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), in partnership with the NJTPA and other Metropolitan Planning Organizations.

Safe Routes to School Grants may be used for infrastructure projects which encourage and K-12 students to safely walk and bike to school within 2 miles of the school. Municipalities, counties, schools, and school districts are welcome to apply. Examples of eligible SRTS projects include installation of ADA-compliant sidewalks, bike paths, striping, lighting, traffic calming improvements, etc.
