This program supports the development of municipal plans and regulatory updates that respond to the demographic, land use, housing, accessibility, environmental, and economic changes taking place within the NJTPA region. Consultant and staff support is provided to municipalities, or groups of municipalities, on a competitive basis. These planning studies address increased demand for diverse, mixed-use places that are economically sustainable and that provide social, cultural, educational, and economic opportunities for all members of the community while supporting transit, bicycling and walking. These studies advance the goals of Connecting Communities: The NJTPA Long Range Transportation Plan.
