Participants of the Phillipsburg Walkable Community Workshop investigated the walking condition of the Roseberry Street and Route 22 intersection and the blocks leading up to this congested intersection. During the workshop, participants paid attention to the safety, comfort, convenience, and accessibility of Roseberry Street, Route 22, and the intersection of the two. The decision to select the workshop area was aided by the NJTPA’s 2008 Regional Priority Update Study’s listing of aggregate high crash segments within the NJTPA region. Roseberry Street is listed as a high crash segment within the study.
