About the plan
The Borough has initiated this planning effort to develop a shared vision for the areas surrounding the Radburn and Broadway Train Stations. The study will identify opportunities to enhance these station areas by improving mobility, expanding housing and economic development opportunities, strengthening connections between neighborhoods and transit, and creating vibrant, walkable places that support residents, businesses, and visitors.
As part of this effort, the study will also include a Transit Village Readiness Assessment to evaluate the Borough's preparedness for designation under New Jersey's Transit Village Initiative. The assessment will identify existing strengths, opportunities for improvement, and actions that can position Fair Lawn to pursue future Transit Village designation and related investment opportunities.
