The years-in-the-making plans to establish ferry service in Bayonne took a huge step forward when the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey agreed to sell the city more than two acres of land on the Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor. The city will purchase 2.3 acres of land along Port Terminal Boulevard — a small portion of the 31 acres it sold to Port Authority in 2010 — for $4.04 million.
