This project will provide technical assistance to develop a placemaking plan for the District of Elizabeth Culture & Arts in Midtown Elizabeth. The plan will identify opportunities to use public art, streetscaping, programming, and activation to revitalize the City’s Special Improvement Districts and Urban Enterprise Zone.
Tasks include identifying and mapping key locations for murals, as well as selecting a flagship public art project through a community-driven process. Extensive engagement will include developing a registry/database of local artists to create future programming.
