This report identifies several recommendations to promote walking and bicycling as a means of travel and improve the pedestrian experience along a section of Main Street (County Route 523) in the White House Station neighborhood. The close destinations and small-town feel make it suitable for walking and bicycling. However, the same roadway is also a primary connection to US Route 22, which means it sees moderate traffic volumes that negatively impact the safety and comfort of non-motorists. Recommendations were developed through a Walkable Community Workshop, which was a collaborative effort with municipal employees and Township and County stakeholders.
