The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, Inc. (NJTPA), the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the 13 counties in northern New Jersey, is announcing a Request for Proposals for consultant assistance for the preparation of one Concept Development study being advanced through its Local Capital Project Delivery (LCPD) Program. This program is consistent with the Project Delivery Process implemented by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). Through this RFP, the NJTPA is seeking to engage one firm to provide professional consultant services for Ocean County, Intersection and Safety Improvements along Brick Blvd & Chambers Bridge Rd/Hooper Ave, Brick Blvd & Cedar Bridge Ave, Cedar Bridge Ave/Mantoloking Rd & Hooper Ave, and State Hwy Route 70 & Chambers Bridge Rd in Brick Township. Primary tasks to be performed by the consultant shall include, but are not limited to data collection, community outreach, development of the Purpose and Need statement, development of alternatives, selection of preliminary preferred alternative (PPA) and NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) classification.
