Priya Jain was nominated in January 2026 by Governor Mikie Sherrill to serve as Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The State Senate unanimously confirmed her appointment on March 23, 2026.
Commissioner Jain is a civil engineer and business professional – most recently served as president of Americas for Mace Consult, an international construction consulting firm, where she led strategic growth and operational excellence across the region.
Prior to joining Mace, she served as executive vice president and chief growth officer at Atlas Technical Consultants, driving enterprise-wide growth initiatives. Before that, she spearheaded the expansion of the British multinational construction, design, engineering and business services company Atkins in North America as senior vice president for sales and strategy. Jain also previously held senior leadership roles at consulting firm CH2M consulting, managing and delivering major client programs.
